Re: EA Play Pro Membership was canceled due to payment method

@batmannibal When a subscription is canceled, and a player wants to renew it, they must do so at the dates and prices they are currently set to.

Players can change payment methods if need be and add a new one.

Players can cancel the sub and use it til the end of the billing cycle.

Support can immediately terminate the subscription upon request.

We cannot alter the price or dates in any way as those are subject to a lot of rules that are out of our hands. If the membership is canceled, the new membership will start when the new subscription is applied to the EA account.

  • Hi @EA_Shepard, thank you for the answer. Main problem here is, I received the "update your payment method" and "your membership is cancelled" mails in the exact same minute. It didn't even gave me a chance to check my card info - just canceled my ongoing membership automatically. This is the first time I encounter something like this in any subscription. System automatically canceled my subscription and deprived me of the price privileges that come with being a continuing member.

    I just want to renew my ongoing membership and can't figure out why EA canceled it without my knowledge.

    @batmannibal Support can continue it regardless of what happened with the system. As long as it didn't terminate immediately, they can go through that with you if its still technically active. Cancel and Stopped are different in the system.

    IF it is still active and your time has not run out fo the current sub, they can help with this. They just cannot do it if its no longer active and has already expired. There is no way to change it once expured.

    @batmannibal On the real though, just make sure you aren't logged in, and change the account options. One will. A lot of them no longer do which is bothersome I agree. I was messing around with it earlier and some did and some did not. Also, make sure the page is set to EN or EU. That helps too if it is not set.

    Choosing the EA app and not the account option also helps. I just tried that one. Really they want the exact prompts but I chose EA app, I cant log into my account and I see the chat there. It is easier than the frustration of choosing many different ones to speak to someone now.

  • Well I finally had a chance to connect with someone and couldn't solve my problem. They said transaction is failed and that's all. EA canceled my continuing membership in a funny way (because this is the very first time I had something like this with any other subscriptions - directly cancelling membership in the same moment saying me to update my method) & can't do anything about it.

    I think it's time for me to say goodbye for this years subscription. Thank you for your support @EA_Shepard.
