Re: Linking existing EA Play subscription (via Steam) to EA Desktop

Hey @illiriana,

If you have an EA Play subscription on Steam, it doesn't transfer over to Origin/the EA app. It's considered a completely separate subscription, so if you want to enjoy the benefits of EA Play on the EA app you'll have to buy a new subscription there.

☹️ That's a shame, wish I knew that before I signed up via Steam. Thank you for replying.

What? So basically you're saying that EA decided to make it separate subscriptions for whatever device EA Play is available on, meaning if I wanted to buy a monthly for $4.99 or a yearly for $99.99 I would basically have no choice but to buy it twice if I want to use it on Steam AND with EA Desktop!?

    1: Who decided that?

2: I don't understand why they would do that as it's not like they're desperate for money.

3: That means that whoever wanted it for more than just one platform would have to save up money and buy it for both on the same day...

    Incredible...
