Re: My EA account does not recognize that I have game pass PC

@Thom32O If you are still running into this issue or it happens to you again, try the following as these have helped others as well!

  • Close the EA app.
  • navigate to the Xbox app
  • Go to settings (click your name top left corner)
  • Select "extensions"
  • Disable the extension for the EA App
  • Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app
  • You'll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension"
  • Enable the EA app extension
  • The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically
  • Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game

Cheers!

This still doesn't help me. Like @Thom32O I have done almost everything from resetting my app, to signing in and out of both xbox and ea accounts, linking and unlinking accounts, and now what you have suggested. Is there any other way to get around this issue?

@tlmig1 I took a look at your EA account and I see a Gamertag linked but I see now an actual EA Play or Game Pass sub linked to it. If it is asking you to purchase it, I would log into EA.com go under connections, and make sure the right EA account is linked to the right Gamertag.

As this is a Game Pass sub and not a direct EA Play sub, it then becomes more of an Xbox account/sub-issue than it does an EA Play issue. With Game Pass having multiple subscriptions, often times the wrong one is purchased. Not saying that is the case here but I would go in and start manually verifying the right accounts are linked and the right subscription was purchased.

We cannot alter the sub because it is not an EA Play sub. That is something Xbox would have to review if that is the case.

    Cheers!
