Re: No Download button on EA Desktop for EA Play games

Still, I can download any game via Ea Play (Game Pass Ultimate for PC)
but not Squadrons, thats the only game.

Thats also the only game I owned in Steam, but I had to give it back after 1,5 hours of playtime, because I had no time to play.

Now I can install everything except Squadrons, there is simply no download button. Every other game works.
Oh, the other squadron game is also on that list, so im pretty sure the issue is connected with "hey you got the game, before, so you dont own it right now.. (even if i got ea play over xbox game pass ultimate)

an update about this would be nice.

Hello, current date is 04/29/2021. I just bought EA play and it does not allow me to download any games. I restarted my PC and the app itself.

Should I just issue a chargeback for EA play pass?

Hey, all.

If you're having trouble installing/downloading a game, have you tried adjusting the UAC setting on your PC? A stricter setting could be blocking the download.

I have identically the same problem, EA play used to work with my Xbox pass  ~2 months ago. Yesterday i renewed my XBOX pass and EA play tells me to buy a subscription. Instead of giving an install button

We sent the details to our teams here. Can you all try deleting EA Desktop one more time and then try re-installing it again through the Xbox app?

there isnt even an area on that page you linked that says EA play for me.  Having same issues it would seem, I have the xbox ultimate game pass and ea play does not have any download button.

For me, the case is that since I got the Xbox game pass ultimate and downloaded the EA desktop app (beta). It shows my account is connected and in EA it shows that I have a subscription. The app does not download any games either in the desktop app or Xbox app shows no download button. I reinstalled the app deleted the registry and cleared the cache after that it showed the download button but when clicked it just loads for a few seconds and nothing happens. I have been having this issue for a couple of months tried getting support from both sides no answer. 

I was able to solve this by temporarily disabling my pihole and then restarting the EA App. For some reason that was blocking the download button from appearing. 

2023 this same problem, what should I do?

I’m also having this issue. No download button anywhere when I try to use the EA app. I’ve downloaded for example the sims thru steam and when I tried to launch the game it said it encountered an error and blah blah via origin. So I downloaded origin but from there it prompted me to “update the EA app” even though I already had it downloaded and on the latest version. So I then tried a dozen different things from force closing task through task manager to re-installing and repairing apps but no fix. If you’ve found the fix please let me know it shouldn’t be this hard to download simple games. What’s so dumb is that I can’t even open origin to see if I can download from there because when I do open origin it keeps giving me the pop up to update EA even though I’ve updated it.
