What information is added via xbox
I created an account over 12 years ago via my Xbox 360. Since then I’ve changed console and have been using a new EA account for the last 7 years however I got a XSX and tried to play Battlefield online it says my password needs reset and sends a link to a deactivated email address. After spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to get help from the live chat and phone call I’m still stuck.
They aren’t being very helpful in supporting the account reset or just unlinking the Xbox account even though I can log into the Xbox account on the EA page apparently this isn’t proof enough that I’m the owner!! I never used EA other than creating an account on the Xbox 360 so I honestly don’t know if they have information they’re asking for. Does anyone know if my phone number, address and bank details would be on my old EA account if the only interaction I had with the account was through Xbox/Microsoft?
I can see my purchase history on the Microsoft page so I know exactly when I bought some DLC so I can give that information correctly if they even see that purchase as it was through Microsoft not EA.
any help would be appreciated so I can get my Xbox account on my new EA account
Hi @richi3881,
We are unable to assist with account information or account changes on Answers HQ. If you are unable to login into your EA account to make changes you will need to contact an advisor for further assistance.
They will need to first verify your account, then can assist further. If you are running into an issue with accessing your email you may want to contact the Email Provider for assistance with getting back into the email.
Thanks!
