Will I have to repurchase EA Play for Steam?
I've been an Origin Access Basic (now EA Play) member for a while now, and I hear it is coming to Steam on the 31st. I was wondering if I will have to purchase the subscription separately on Steam, Or will current EA Play subscribers get access to the Steam version as well? I believe console and PC membership used to be a separate subscription (I am unsure if they still are), so I am wondering if this will operate similarly.
Update for those that stumble on this post for an answer: As Tom has now confirmed, people that are currently using non-pro EA Play on Origin, that want to switch to Steam, will have to repurchase an entirely new subscription... At least it's cheap?
Hey folks,
A few things I can answer:
- EA Play Pro is available exclusively on Origin.
- We will deliver EA’s subscription service to Steam on August 31.
- Our membership is available on each platform for $4.99, or regional equivalent. There is no cross platform subscription at this time.
