AI tyre wear @ this weeks official 50% GP @ Austria

Product: F1 23
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox One
Summarize your bug AI don't suffer tyre wear, they actually get quicker, also they are quicker on hards than on mediums
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Do this week's GP and then look at the lap times of the top AI driver
What happens when the bug occurs? Instead of getting slower as his tyres got older, he was getting quicker. And then he was doing faster times on the hards than he was on the mediums.
What do you expect to see? Ai to suffer tyre wear and get slower as their tyres get older and to be slower on the hards than on mediums

I'm not sure if it is the same across other modes, as I haven't started a career.

  • @DRudd13 I did the same exact observation during my race, especially with Verstappen's pace, seemed to get less wear and more grip as the race progressed. Completely opposite of what one would expect.

@dotazured Pleased I'm not the only one to notice. It was the same last year at every track in Grand Prix mode. I really hope it's not the same this year.

@DRudd13 I have not noticed this specific issue in any other game mode or race other than this specific Weekly 50% GP, so I think that it is fair to say that the (scripted?) AI and/or difficulty are broken in this event.

I noticed the same. AI is much faster at the end of the race. After 10 laps I was 20 seconds in front. At the end the gap was only 2 seconds

@RemWal96 This is an good description of my race, AI with no pace at all in the first half, and a large gap at the beginning (20 seconds or so) which quickly shrunk the second half for the AI later being really close to get within the DRS window at the end.

I can't tell if it was my tyres that dropped off completely, or the AI that didn't have any wear or similar, but something is really off here, my pace felt consistent anyway.

One thing is clear though, the AI should not be able to make up the time delta on the same tyres like it did.
