- @ScarDuck14 Tbf if the next game has the slightest hints of same bugs or even more bugs pre release then the sales are gonna drop even further, people are rightfully annoyed by this especially considering the price
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Meza994 I think only thing that will hold sales next year is major overhaul to career modes and new engine. Personally I think it’s Epic fail they havnt touched career modes
Whenever talk of new game engines comes up I'm reminded that the last time they did this we got F1 2015, which had no career mode at all. I can't see this happening again personally but I do suspect expecting a new engine AND major changes to career mode is unfortunately likely to lead to disappointment.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Ultrasonic_77 That is my least played F1 game. As it didn’t have career mode. I played it once. Couple of races. Only time I started the game after was to see if they have by chance added a career mode update.

Personally I think it’s Epic fail they havnt touched career modes@ScarDuck14 I think they gambled this year with F1 World; trying to capitalise on the recent popularity of the sport. I’ve seen some posts regarding game sales being lower than previous versions - probably due to a combination of massive bugs and also the season IRL hasn’t been “box-office”. So, all in all, I don’t think the gamble has paid off.
I’ve said elsewhere on the boards (regarding the trade off between developing F1 world and Career modes), that next year’s game will be the clearest indication of their focus and the way the franchise is going. My hope is because the gamble hasn’t paid off, they have no choice but to double-down on Career modes and sorting long-standing bugs, as @Meza994 suggests.
Here’s hoping 🤞🏽
Got the same feeling as @Ultrasonic_77 but then again 2015 wasnt bugfree either from what i heard but i also agree they likely wont do another game without career mode nor do i think they could allow themselfes another game without
@Monzstar83quite likely also probably thinking a bit too much with their wallet when they made that decision.. However i dont really know if they will really learn.. The people up high dont take a look at comments or forums (at least very unlikely) and all they take a look at is what part of the game is being played most, well many of the most played modes are hidden within F1 World so actually if one only looks at numbers it will probably be the most played mode, especially with Career mode being boring for 3 years now and leagues apparently also problematic so i dont know yet.. Too much mistrust on people who make big decisions i guess😂
- mariohomoh2 years agoHero (Retired)@Monzstar83 F1 World seems to be their latest attempt at monetizing the product by trying to increase player engagement and exposition to microtransactions. Not really trying to capitalize on the recent resurgence in popularity, just applying those many tricks of "keep players logging in every day and eventually they'll buy something".
Given how it's also a huge raise in popularity for team principals and team drama, a proper revamping of career modes would be more pertinent in my opinion. My suspicion re. F1 world was that it was based on a broader drive from EA to introduce similar elements across multiple titles. And from my perspective the concepts seem broadly GOOD to me but most specifically falling down by inexplicably not providing an adjustable AI difficulty setting.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Monzstar83 Think their more likely to double down on F1 World unfortunately for the reasons Mario said

That's what I meant by "priorities". They hope gamers buy pit coins to get "items" only available outside passes.
And when you look at passes (even VIP), you can see that they mostly feed you stuff for F1 Worlds. Last year, we at least had more options for livery and helmets, this year not even that.
(I am not saying they were great options but more at least)
This year, we get stickers!! (yeay ☹️ )
I would love to see Career mode uplift because game gets a bit boring. I'd like to see stuff like in Motosport Manager, where you can develop a car part with questionable rule application and risk a scrutiny after the race. Teams do that all the time (see AM 😉 ) so why not to put it in game?
We still don't have budget capping in game (R&D points/money) which is already part of F1 IRL. Why? Because they focus on wrong things in game.
I very much hope it will improve in next release because 23 might be the last one I bought ☹️
(and I have all since 2011)
