Why does F1 23 still not allow pedals connected via usb? (TS-PC T-LCM)

I have ts-pc with t-lcm pedals and cant get both to work at same time. If wheel works then pedals dont and vice versa.

Things i tryied:

1) different wheel drivers

2) disconnecting other hardware

3) updating windows, drivers, firmware, software

4) disabling power sleep limit for devices in device manager

5) trying out different usb slots on motherboard

6) trying out usb on case

7) trying some usb splitters

8) i even did clean install no software except wheel drivers but still nope

9) i was experimenting with overlays and other modern stuff

10) i tryied with steam input disabled/enabled

11) i even go through bios and didnt find nothing for this problem

so i basically tryed everything what normal person can...

only working ¨fix¨ for now is what i was doing in f1 22 is unplug pedals usb from pc, start the game and plug it back when u are in f1 main menu but dont alt tab or minimize game because sometimes it brokes connection to pedals or wheels and u must repeat procedure to work again. Its kinda ennoying but at least it works.

Separate T3PA Pro pedals + TM wheel here-- same core issue. Can confirm F1 2011 to F1 '21 don't have any issue and still run flawless with both wheel and pedals at every start, but '22 and '23 both are extremely problematic.

Tried so far; all the usual troubleshooting from verifying game files and shutting down/disconnecting everything else, up to reinstalling both win10 as wel as win11, switching usb2/3-connected ports around, trying older vs newer drivers, and switching over to a different rig altogether but no dice, the problem persists.

For F1 '22 and '23 the 2023_TTRS_3.exe driver was needed to get the devices detected ingame at all, after which its a coin toss if both will activate simultaneously or not, which can take up to 10+ restarts of the game and is driving us crazy.

Going to windowed mode using alt-enter and switching focus back & forth will switch between pedals and wheel input kicking in, but never both in that state.

It's a wild guess but maybe some form of input multithreading has been introduced to the ego-engine since '22? Because when trying to exit in such a state the game also locks up while exiting normally when both devices do work, as if some input thread never got going in the first place, and/or is timing out indefinitely.

Besides '22 and '23 the F1 series with about a dozen other racing games do not have this problem and still work fine, literally everything else we can throw at it.

PS: funny thing btw (but not really..) with '22 I can GUARANTEE a succesful start if the EA intro video starts playing and I can "skip" it with a wheel button. Sadly it almost never shows up at all, while in '23 it seems to skip itself within a second before I can even try, which means a couple extra steps of entering the menu and testing the POV switch in the menu, which still doesn't guarantee the pedals activating..

Same issue. Ubelievable that this is not being fixed.

My throttle is cutting out. And it seems as though I am losing speed. Checked the calibration setting and it registered at 100%. During the race I am getting passed with the same setups. I am 3secs slower. Idk what’s happening when the throttle is connected but during a league race I had to reset my wheel three times. 

Also same issue. It randomly works after multiple tries but never on the first try. It’s really annoying.

So @EA_rephii  and @CM_TGK non of you acknowledge the issue as it does not appear in any of those rubrics you have in the community raised issues.
Im also a part of the community. Sorry for not having thousands of subscribers on some media channel or have some manager reaching out to you.
But this issue is an serious issue for a lot of peoples.

Not getting the bug fixed for last year game was a shame and a punch in the face for everyone buying your game because it wasnt an issue in previous games.
It also works in every other damn game.
But ignoring this bug again and again is an absolute no-go.
We pay to play the game and we deserve a version where at least the input is handled correctly.

But yeah you are EA and Codemasters. You dont care about your community. As long no one in the esports series have issues you dont give a damn f**k on it.

Lol they don't care about them either. They still don't have anti cheat that the core eSports drivers have been screaming about for years. You can trick the code in the game with cheat engine for God's sake.

Now I am still working on it, and if other people can test it that would be great. 

So to fix you have to do the following. 

1. Navigate to where the game is installed on your drive

2. Navigate to actionmaps folder

3. Select the wheel you have, right click open with Notepad.

4 Paste the following under the actionmaps

So I put mine at the bottom of the action maps and it works fine. Just a FYI. save in a notepad because it will be overwritten when the game updates. Also don't alt tab then you'll need to restart the game
