I think we'll be able to tell immediately by the look of the menus and the racing graphics - I'd suggest that, even at this stage, it will essentially look exactly the same as it always has meaning the same game at heart 🤷🏻♂️
That said, in order of priority, what I'd like to see is:
- Simulation driving physics and racing experience that can be dumbed down to arcade (not an arcade game with nonsensical physics as it is right now). The penalty system, race dynamics and the pure racing experience to be the best of all racing games. No assists should be the fastest - i.e. mastery should be rewarded. Some of the fastest times in the last few years have been by people driving the game like an arcade game, it would be impossible IRL. Hence when real drivers play the game and drive as one would IRL, they're much slower.
- Multiplayer, league racing, matchmaking completely reworked.
- Completely reworked career modes and MyTeam modes.
- Classic cars, livery editors, more gear, helmet editor etc...
- F1 TV graphics - EA have the license so why not make it look like the TV coverage!?
- Realistic graphics and not the weird cartoony, over sharp and saturated graphics we've had for far too long.
- Absolutely no pitcoin, pay model or otherwise. The game costs $100! No sofas, wallart or other garbage.
Unfortunately, I feel so let down by this franchise I am anticipating it being another Ctrl+C Ctrl+V from EA. I fear that it will be the end of it and sales will die - which may be a good thing as another developer might pick it up.
Please EA, listen to your fans.
