Not much fun when your racing AI tech levels 500+ and you're at a 375 level. In the higher level Quick Series, they start you in 20th place and expect you to place in the top ten with only 5 laps. Adding insult to injury, if you do manage to gain positions, the AI cars behind will race aggressively against you, hitting you and damaging you, while you get the "Warning collision with 'AI-xxx'". This deducts points from you for the race and your license rating.
In other words, it would be similar to this situation. You're safely driving down the road and some drunk slams into the back of you. The police blames you for not getting out of the drunk's way and states you're at fault in their report. Next, your insurance company refuses to pay because your at fault. Next, the drunk driver hires an attorney and sues you.
That's about the best way to describe this topic.
BTW - Before writing this reply, I watched a Netflix movie called "Upgrade" brings out similar emotions as this topic due to the disparity.
It definitely needs looking into. I can have full battery deployment and use overtake and the AI bolt out of corners like bullet and continue the overpowered onslaught down the straights!
F122 was exactly the same.
F123 was perfect in this regard.
Please look into this EA.

Same here. I don't know about 22 and 23, I used to play 20 till now, but it was far more balanced than this. At 60 difficulty, with no assists, they just breeze past me at straigths, like it was nothing (although I have the fastest car at the R&D screen.) Usually in pairs. I have no problem qualifying in first, that's why I dropped the difficulty so much, to be able to start from pole, until I get used to the new tracks and stuff. But I found that at some places I can only keep the AI behind me on straights, if I lower the front wing to ridiculous amounts. 0, mostly...

Could this be a career mode issue? Never seen it in grand prix mode. Ai are quicker in qualifying than race in my experience on that. They do like to use ers on exits but if you do the same there is no issue

@hartag88I don't know mate, I used to play countless seasons of 100% race distance races without restarts on F1 20. And it was fine. Here not only do I have to restart, I have to constantly use mid session save to somehow stay ahead at straights. And this is on 60 AI difficulty with the fastest car. I used to play much higher in the old one... (I think I got used to the new ERS system by now, I know where to charge and when to use overtake, but it's just a constant struggle.)
