AI tyres heating

I was wondering something because right now Im racing in Mexico 100% full rain (inters) career mode.
And after something like 15 laps my tyres really started to overheat like Im 92 and 88 degrees front , 106 and 103 degrees rear and the AIs are all 65 degrees front and rear for the whole race and Im losing so much time on them like 5 tenths a lap bc of overheating resulting in severe degradation.. Kinda unfair if the AIs are really stuck at 65 degrees with no degradation. Is this a bug or ?...

@dylankng11Ai tyre Temps are always set to optimal temperatures. Been that way for as long as I can remember. Not great as with the this years tyre model puts player at huge disadvantage on certain tracks and obviously conditions. However Codies have obviously found training Ai to manage tyre temps to problematic due to all the variables involved.

Best suggestion I have and what I do is. When racing Ai change tyre temps to surface only.

@ScarDuck14 I see but this is really unfair from the developers but whatever. I'll take your suggestion hopefully it will be better.

Training the Ai is a complex time and resource heavy thing as it is. Which isn’t the devs fault. More a lack of budget from EA bean counters.

Right now the best Ai in a Racing game is Sonys SophyAi which still hasn’t been fully implemented into GT7 except for a handful of short races. As it isn’t able manage tyre wear let alone tyre temps. And Sony have invested huge amounts of time, resources and money into its development. What codemasters get given is tiny in comparison.

Plus there are serious issues with the Ai that need resolving first. We can manage temps on the fly with a little know how abd experience. Ai just isn’t smart enough. Right now if they were effected by temps. On specific tracks such as Hungary or in changeable conditions. They will continue to keep the same pace regardless of temps becoming critical. As a consequence at some point in race what will likely happen is all Ai will start having issues around the same time resulting in missing corners and crashing out,
As I said current situation isn’t great especially as Codemasters don’t bother to tell players in game. But it’s lesser off two evils

@ScarDuck14 Wish we could get all the recents liveries tho especially the chrome one :P

I see it's a bit more complex than I thought but yeah AIs really need to be fix and be more smart but also a bit less overpowered especially under wet conditions. For someone who use some assists like me they are way to good on a wet track but they always will be I guess haha.

I just ran in to an issue in Australia where we were transitioning from slicks to inters and while my slicks were down in the 60-70° range the cars behind me were still on slicks at 90°+ after DRS had been disabled and then exited the pits with inters already fully at temperature . So, tell me, devs, how in the hell is that possible? Fix your tyre temperature model. Jesus Christ…
