Can't accept friend invites.

Hi,

The game works ok most of the times, but somedays I can't accept friend invites as they would disappear as I click on accept. No error message or anything, just disappear.

I am trying to race in a league so it is pretty frustrating. I tried to login through friends profile but there is just no option for this. 

We have crossplay on, they are EA friends. They play on PS/ PC, I am on Xbox, also I am the only one having issues. Again, game works fine 9/10 times. Restarting the game or console doesnt help. 

Any idea what the issue is and how to fix it?
