Constant AI DRS train

This is something I picked up on on the beta but it is a massive problem in long races... drs trains.

The ai spend the entire race in drs trains. Even 100% races. The cars at the front of the train battle and cost each other time. Either it's drs being too powerful.. not enough dirty air or the way they are programmed - potentially how they use ers.

It leads to massively unrealistic and often boring races as you either sit in a drs train or get out o one and spend the entire race on your own as all other cars are clumped into 2 or 3 drs trains.

If your stuck in one you just pit and under cut them all and spend the rest of the race on your own.

These cars are lapping way slower than they should be so it makes the races easier than qualifying too.

For me this is a massive game breaker and needs fixing asap 

Facts got the same you have also the problem the AI never DNF? Or crashes I think that’s also a big bug..

I can't see how this is massively unrealistic? This tends to happen in a lot of races in real F1. 

For a few years now DRS has been massively OP for the AI in particular, especially in comparison to human players, on both F122 and F123 I've been on straights with both DRS open and overtake on and sat in an AI cars slip stream it's still not enough to overtake. I've also had AI cars behind me with no DRS and me with DRS and they've closed the gap. (and as we all know, the AI never used the battery until they decided to dump it all on the last lap on F1 23). 

DRS trains are now far more likely to happen with the changes made to the aero physics and is a lot more true to life than previous games in that respect and I for one think that's a positive step.

It I  when it's the top 10 in the race for half a race and they just battle and over take each other every lap. It's like whoever taker lead immeadetly save battery and the  one behind attacks and vice versa. Trust me once you experience it every race you'll soon see what I mean. 

The odd drs train is great but there iis almost never a car not in a drs train!  Even Max is battling away with perez and hamilton etc the entire race. It is an immersion killer

Previous games were fine even with strong drs effects and slipstream so I'm guessing it's how they use their ers or something 

I'll keep a look out for it, I can't say I've noticed it massively so far but I've not really been looking. 

I guess in shorter races it wouldn't be so bad. I like to do 100% races and it's ruining those atm.

Yeah same %100 al the way some races I do 50 and same happened 

The problem is that the dirty air effect is too little, no changes for tyre temps for the ai nor engine temps while following another car which makes it tougher for cars IRL to follow.. Another reason is there is not enough difference in race pace so the cars are not quick enough to overtake, while IRL the field spread is about 200% in the race compared to qualifying yet not in the same running order necessarily due to different tyre wear, tyre heating, engine cooling etc, these are also not properly reflected ingame..

Besides, yes IRL there are DRS trains too but nowhere near the amount of cars or the duration as in the game now..

Yeah all the above is true but this was also the case in last few games.. and the drs trains were not anywhere near as bad then. The thing that has changed is the ers which is why I suspect the ai use of this may be a factor here.

Either way it needs to be fixed.
