It feels like the AI are programmed to only overtake on straights with use of DRS and overtake. They don’t overtake into braking zones when they easily could - they dont ‘send it’ down the inside (even when they have the over speed). When an AI makes a mistake (lockup etc). Other ai don’t take opportunity and pass them.
The biggest problem seems to be the ai follow quite literally in a train. Stuck on a line like a scale electric car.
What causes these trains is how the ai bunch up under braking sometimes.
Another thing is that it looks like the field spread is too low. Both in qualifying and the race (particularly the race). If this was changed to be more accurate then slower cars would just be unable to keep up with the front runners, stopping these trains which go from the front to the back of the field.
We are two months in and we have a lack of transparency from the team on this. We have all paid money for this game and more transparency would really be nice and realistically something we should have anyway after payment. Could you inform us on what you have tried to fix this issue in more detail? Could you tell us what you are working on now? What other fixes have been tested but failed? A more public timeline would also improve the community’s faith that this crucial issue will be fixed.
