Not only what @SASColfer said, but it's also been an issue since launch. It received one patch, the community has STILL been reporting it hasn't been fully fixed, and there hasn't been any communication or indication it's getting looked at still. So yeah, people are going to start being more critical the longer they have to deal with predictable, dull offline races (which were ADVERTISED to be the focus of F1 24). The fact it was considered "patched" and yet still is an issue gives the impression that there's a lack of core understanding around these "new" gameplay mechanics for DRS, ERS, dirty air, and tire wear. And the fact it's still happening with no communication gives me no faith as a customer.
The community AND creators have given multiple suggestions of things to look at and ways to possibly mitigate DRS trains, but no words or actions have been given in response to any of it. That's pretty much a guaranteed way to get people more and more fed up and frustrated. Disregard begets disregard.
The whole game exists in a state of "good enough" for a minimum viable product, which is where I expect it to stay for quite some time. Especially when you consider that there are STILL bigger issues present, like ones that are preventing people from playing together in coop, leagues, and ranked. That, and there's only one singular change coming to AI and core race gameplay in the 1.10 patch, when there should have been at least three (AI ERS during quali, wet tire race strategy, and DRS trains). None of the updates coming in 1.10 warrant much praise. These are all things that should have been caught during testing.
Though, that would require proper regression and play testing to take place before launch, which it clearly did not.
