Driver Career: Adapting parts for regulataion changes, adding performance to car

I'm towards the end of season 3 and have regulation changes. Ever since Mexico, Hamilton and I have just been adapting parts. But they're adding performance to the car. This should not be happening. The engineer is even saying we have new parts on the car.
