EAAntiCheatService Failed to obtain Origin directory

Summarize your bug I have bought the game on steam. When playing, the game crashes to desktop without an error message. In the windows event log, I find the following error: EAAntiCheatService Failed to obtain Origin directory
What is your 16 digit Report Code? PHGT-XCCS-JJRS-KHDD
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. XBOX One Controller
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Telekom
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes to the desktop without any errors displayed.
What do you expect to see? plaing the game normally

I have already tried several fixes related to the anticheat found in the forum and verified the game files through steam, however the game still crashes as described above.

    I am also having this trouble - I have tried reinstalling the ea anticheat and repairing it - i have origin *and* EA app installed.

    i bought the game and i am trying to launch via steam - but it also doesn't work via the f1_24.exe in the game directory itself as admin, system or regular user.

    Same. Tried uninstall/reinstalling everything, repairing EA Anti-Cheat, setting exe owner to System, etc etc... basically everything I can find on the internet even remotely related to this issue and nothing works.

    I suppose one way to make sure no one cheats is to just prevent the game from ever launching in the first place.
