F1 Crashing on PSN after patch1.16

I'm getting the same on ps5. It loads then crashes after 30 seconds. CM Edit: Split from Patch discussion thread

Did this problem start only after Patch 1.16?

@EA_cuervo it only started after the latest patch 1.16 with error code CE-108255-1. I tried reinstalling but same issue.

  My father's game is having identical issues. I have even done a factory reset of the PS5, re-installed the game and still getting same issue.
  This is quite clearly a major fault with the latest update 1.16. Please ensure this is resolved ASAP.

    Further investigation has found the issue. Being offline removes the fault. As soon as you are connected to the internet and it crashes.

I have the same issue for PC. (EA App for PC)
It instantly occured after ur latest patch yesterday (Patch 1.16): Since that im unable to start the game for longer then 30 sec.

it tries to connect to the Onlineservers or something like that, then there is a sudden small lag and the game just closes
I installed everything again ffor like 5 times now ( EA App, the f1 Game, my graficcard and so on)
I can play F1 23 over the same launcher without any problems, so pls fix your latest patch ASAP.

  There are many people now reporting this issue and all since the last patch 1.16. The exact same thing happened to me today whereby I kept loosing connection to the server (PS5). All other devices I have remained connected and in full working order.
  This is clearly a massive issue and a game breaking bug that absolutely will need resolving immediately with a hotfix patch.

I’m on pc and just downloaded the game so far EA support has not been able to solve the problem
