F1 Crashing on PSN after patch1.16

I'm getting the same on ps5. It loads then crashes after 30 seconds. CM Edit: Split from Patch discussion thread

Thanks for letting us know about this. Could you please answer the following questions to help us identify what's causing the issue:

Did this problem start only after Patch 1.16?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? If not, please try the steps in the following article and let us know how that goes: How to troubleshoot issues when starting a game

My father's game is having identical issues. I have even done a factory reset of the PS5, re-installed the game and still getting same issue.
This is quite clearly a major fault with the latest update 1.16. Please ensure this is resolved ASAP.

  Further investigation has found the issue. Being offline removes the fault. As soon as you are connected to the internet and it crashes.

    Same thing happened to me today on PS5!
    Yet another patch and yet more problems. I think patches need to be stable and therefore tested better before being released.
    This type of thing seems to have occurred more than normal with this year's game.
