F1 Crashing on PSN after patch1.16

I'm getting the same on ps5. It loads then crashes after 30 seconds. CM Edit: Split from Patch discussion thread

My father's game is having identical issues. I have even done a factory reset of the PS5, re-installed the game and still getting same issue.

This is quite clearly a major fault with the latest update 1.16. Please ensure this is resolved ASAP.

Further investigation has found the issue. Being offline removes the fault. As soon as you are connected to the internet and it crashes.

  Same thing happened to me today on PS5!
  Yet another patch and yet more problems. I think patches need to be stable and therefore tested better before being released.
  This type of thing seems to have occurred more than normal with this year's game.

  @ColinRMason Give the following a try I was able to connect earlier on today.
  1, Turn on ps5 then turn off the Internet.
  2, Load up f1 then go to f1 world where you should have grand prix mode, tt and reconnection.
  3, press ps button go to internet and turn on in settings.
  4, go back to f1 and try to reconnect.
  
  It seemed to work for me earlier but when I turned game off and on again I had to repeat what I done before
