Game crashes when returning to mid session save

Hey everyone,

we've now got a fix lined up for this issue with the upcoming 1.7 patch on Monday. Please let us know then if it got finally resolved!

Fixed an issue where the game could crash when loading a mid-session save when certain specialist goals were selected

Summarize your bug When trying to advance in any way in Driver Career in Practice 1 in China, the game crashes. This includes starting a new flying lap, driving out, retiring, exiting session, and advancing to the next session. I had a mid-session saved on the old version of the game, which I believe could be the issue as I am now playing on the new patch.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? MBCC-XTAJ-HASH-PSEC
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. Xbox One Wireless Controller.
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Telstra
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a mid-session save of practice 1 in China in driver career, or possibly any track during practice. Have it before the update when you make the mid-session save, and then update the game and then try to advance in any way and it will crash.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game will load, and then freeze and crash. When starting a flying lap, it starts counting down, and then will freeze and crash. When advancing to a new session, you can see the results of the practice session, but when you try to continue the game crashes.
What do you expect to see? The game advancing without crashing.

I am having the exact same issue , crashing after mid-session save in fp1 silverstone! Game loads normally, but if I exit the garage, flying lap, skip or end session, all lead to ctd. Basically, I am stuck in fp1. Also,my mid-session save mentioned above was made AFTER the patch 1.3, so I don't think it's an issue from updating the game.

I managed to fix this issue by loading into my save then deleting the save from my files. After that I advanced to the next session in game and it worked fine from there

  @xI-Griff-Ix Thnx for the tip! It didn't quite work that way for me, but I found another way. I deleted the midsessionsave file. The session started from the beginning without any problems!

    @ActionG82 Oh sorry, I completely overlooked that you were playing on Xbox.
    
    For Xbox users, it's unfortunately not possible to access their save games since they are saved in the cloud.
    
    We will have to wait until a PC or PlayStation user uploads his save games. But thank you anyway!

  @xI-Griff-IxI was tired of waiting and I tried this solution again and it worked. So if you all are tired of waiting for an solution, that I honestly think that won't come, follow the steps I've made:
  Open your save foulder, on my case I play on Steam and the path is: Steam>userdata>your profile ID>2488620>remote
  Then just search for the midsave file that is corrupted, but don't delete it just yet because if you delete the file and open the game, it will reappear again.
  Open your F1, then delete your midsave files while the game is running and try to load your carreer profile. It will appear a message that it couldn't load your save, then you just press no and there it is, it will restart the race and you'll be able to open your carreer again.
