Game doesn't accept input, leaving me stuck at the splash screen unable to play.

So I renamed the file. Still nothing 

Deleted the file. Still nothing 

Controller, keyboard and mouse are the only USB devices plugged in.

Unplugging the controller to start the game with just the keyboard, and then plugging in the controller also doesn't work.
