Multiplayer races not working

I am unable to enter multiplayer online grand prix races on f1 24 (steam on PC).

I enter a lobby and ready up, it loads as normal and when the session is about to start I see a message saying migrating host and I am then removed to the main menu of the game.

has anyone else experienced this issue? if so how do I resolve it?
