Not retirering when retirement is interuppted with a red flag

Summarize your bug I was retirering due to a mechanical failure when a red flag was waved and the race stopped. After the restart my driver was just going on its own. Not retaring but also i got no control on what it was doing.

Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Having to retire with a mechanical failure whilst the red flag had been waved i would assume was the cause
What happens when the bug occurs? The race strarts again after the red flag but you have no control like you are still retireing but the game doesnt retire you and so the AI keeps on going for you
What do you expect to see? That i either reitre from the race properly or get the control back (option 1 is more logical because i was already retirering.
Below this is a link to a short youtube video where you can see the bug after the red flag. I am not touching my steering wheel or pedals and it still drives but got no option for race director. Also the car is not retirering although it said i was retirering earlier.
