Overtake cannot be activated through MFD

Summarize your bug Unable to activate overtake mode in career mode through the MFD. When hitting the correct key to go from hotlap--->overtake it momentarily flicks onto overtake before auto reverting to hotlap. I know the issue is not with the save file as I started a new career mode after I noticed the bug and the bug was still there. If I had to guess where it was from it would be from the 1.17 update. Edit: I just checked and I also have this issue in Grand Prix mode.

What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. Simcube 2 pro (steering wheel) and a LD-218 Wireless Keyboard
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Virgin Media
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Drive either an offical car in Driver Career or a My Team car on circuit, open the MFD and try to engage overtake through the MFD, not with the specific binding.
What happens when the bug occurs? Momentarily (like maybe for a few frames) it switches to overtake and then back to hotlap mode automatically.
What do you expect to see? That it remains on overtake mode until I, the player, change the ERS mode.
