Race start neutral lock

When starting any race, you are forced to start the race in neutral once the race starts, have to shift up after causing excessive wheel spin and basically losing 4 positions every race start. Ive reset the game, console everything. Not on race out of the 20 ive done has the car started on the line in first gear to just drop the clutch and go.
