Re: AI Career/GP race and qualifying pace

I did qualifying on Hotlap mode with no use of overtake so it can't be what other people are suggesting to stop using overtake in quali. I also hope you don't change it that the AI uses Overtake in Quali, I don't even think Overtake should be an option in qualifying. It also might be that Saudi was an extreme outlier because in Bahrain there was also a difference in Quali/ Race pace just not as extreme. To me though it seems like there is a big difference between Career and GP mode of the AI's Race pace as it worked perfectly in GP mode.

I also saw other people complaining of how inconsistent the AI is in Qualifying and them being able to take pole by multiple seconds on Hotlap mode.

    Hello @mezzo11ys ,

Thank you for taking the time to raise this issue.

As we can see in the F1® 24 - Community-Raised Issues, this is the number one issue in the "Investigating" list.

It's very interesting that if happens in Career mode but not in GP.

Don't hesitate to share if you see circuits other than Saudi Arabia where the difference is major so that we can pass on the issue.

From what I can tell you right now is that AI  is also very very slow in Qatar Quali and that in Miami the AI have an unfair straight line speed advantage which might have something to do with the players engine just overheating even with the wheater not being sunny. It could also be that they have better traction like in the the corner before the long straight in China.
