Just done Miami and during the race i was thinking it’s actually been improved but then the race ends and verstappen who won was demoted to last for no reason and completely spoiled the race. I have raised another bug report for this.

As for me, I give up and uninstalling. I hope you fix the game in future for the people who stick around but I doubt it. 

F1 series is officially dead. RIP.

I'm not sure if anything has changed or if it's placebo. I have managed to pull away in 5th but I think that's because the cars behind were fighting through the chicane. 

This is lap 9/19 (pre-pitstops) around Monza (admittedly not the best test track for this issue). 6th-15th in one corner. 

Ok, i've just tried patch 1.7. Sadly they haven't fixed it. DRS/ERS Train is still a big problem.

This needs un-solving in the title. 

I stand by my earlier comment that I really think the ERS overtake is what's causing the problem. I've just played Bahrain on a brand new career race and yes the cars are bunched together but there was a Merc and RB battling with the RB ahead. The merc gets DRS onto the main straight with about 1-2 tenths at the start. He pulls ahead of the RB but then the RB engages overtake (no DRS) and pulls back ahead of the Merc. The Merc only used overtake for a few seconds at the start of the straight. The RB keeps the place.

That shouldn't be happening.. that never happens in a race. And you guessed it, they both have recharged overtake for the next corner, and the next, and the next..

DRS trains are definitely not fixed. In fact there is absolutely zero difference than before from my own experience.

I can not believe they released a patch to say it's improved when clearly nothing whatsoever has changed.

There is not one single aspect of this game I'm enjoying right now. It is absolutely miles away in terms of being even remotely half decent.

Adding my experience - this is *slightly* better, but my experience has also been what others have seen.  Now instead of one long DRS train, there are two or three separate ones, and those groups stay really close the entire race.  That being said, I have been seeing more AI attempting overtakes, but most of the time they still back out of it or cause an incident from AI bunching up in corners after a DRS straight. 

However, even in these incidents, there hasn't been any damage or DNF due to damage with the AI.  The only DNFs I continue to see are from mechanical failures.

To be honest, I think the AI are still GROSLY overtuned.
No mater how you try to pull away from the AI, they are just ON TOP OF your Rear Diffuser every single moment of the race..
I don't think it's FULLY the DRS being gross, but high on the list of causes.
AI simply don't makes mistakes, and I believe THAT issue is back again IMO.

This game is slowly turning people away with how slow these things are being addressed.
I can tell by the frequency of Suggestions and Bug Reports coming in. They've turned into a trickle, where as before everyone was excited to be the front of change.
And things simply aren't moving in the correct direction at the PACE the game DESPERATELY NEEDED. It's only [Just about August] and the community ALREADY feels dead. Positive Posts have basically stopped around the game.. I'm reading nothing but HEAVY criticism towards EA (Which is warranted IMO with their track record for NUKING amazing franchises), and I can't put all the blame on "The Codies". THEY deserve so much better, and so much more than what they're being given.

Agreed, a friend of mine said when EA took over this game franchise they would ruin it and that's exactly what they have now done.

F124 is an absolute shambolic disaster on every single aspect. I can't think of one single thing that actually works well. 

The entire game is now beyond broken. The AI is awful. It's sometimes impossible to pull away from the pack, it's like they've been programmed to stick to your rear end like glue.

They are way overpowered on the straights on some tracks. The handling for controller players is now garbage after 1.7. The lack of in game helmets and race wear is nothing short of a blatant smack in the face for it's loyal customer base. The sound in replays is a joke, as is the lame excuses for it. Engine sounds are horrible. DRS trains completey spoil the racing experience. I could go on all night.

£90 for a bug ridden game in which absolutely nothing is enjoyable and works as it should. Nowhere near good enough.

The strange thing is they still ultimately have a 'good' base game underneath it all. I genuinely like some the improvements they made to things like driver career. The replay external sounds aren't quite there but actually significantly better than before. 

I just wish all of it worked, there seems to be a bug in every aspect the game at the moment. Letting the racing get into this state was a bit of a final straw though, if it can't even be good to race then it's not worth playing. The Steam active player numbers seem to support this. 

@SASColfer I think this is the most frustrating thing about the game overall.  It really feels like there's a great game under the pile of bugs and issues. Hope we get to experience the full potential before F1 25 launches.

There are still clear issues with the ai. Can you confirm that this is still being actively investigated?

Good video on you tube from Alex Gillon showing how much better racing is in the game without drs. 

I don't know how to link it but if someone can that would be great. It immediately helps things massively.

Everyone knows drs is killing the racing. Why not give us the option to turn it off for this year and then get it properly balanced with dirty air for 25.

I basically don't play the game now because of the stupid drs trains.

I haven't played this game for over a month. I'm gutted they still haven't sorted it. Please, please ea, codmasters, sort this out.It's horrendous.

I can not believe how long it's taking them to sort this game breaking issue out. It now has to be one of the absolute main priorities to resolve.

I am so dissatisfied with this entire game. Things like this should have been tested more thoroughly instead of realising it in this absolute mess and charging top price for it.

Just watched Alex's video too, and I think he's very much onto something.  The races looked far more "realistic" (though I hesitate to even remotely use that word for F1 24 at this point), but more importantly, way more fun.

I very much agree with his sentiment that DRS should be balanced more and nerfed a bit, along with increasing the dirty air effects.

I stopped playing F1 24 until this is fixed, i always enjoyed races in full distances in previous games, but with the drs trains it's sadly so boring. The Video from Alex Gillon shows exactly the problem. DRS is overpowered, lack of dirty air. Another point is, the AI should be more aggressive (for example overtakes in braking zones), they are no-existent in F1 24

WOW, since I uninstalled the game 3 weeks ago, they have still not fixed this!?! Quarter through its cycle now and looks like still unplayable for most.

Surely you should be offering refunds soon?
