Re: F1 24- Career- Car under fueled

Are you able to adjust it manually before race?

You should be able to do so in Race Strategy button before the race start.

Game estimates the fuel load based on your Race Strategy programme outcome you complete during FPs. If you don't, it just uses default load for the race. If your style is more aggressive and you don't lift and coast, then you may run out of fuel. You can adjust it before the race. I usually add another half lap, to allow me to race a bit harder. Or in wet sessions, I usually underfuel because there is lots of coasting so you usually save lots of it.

  • I used to be able to adjust the fuel load before the race, but now the fuel load is at max already, and it is still under fueled. So I cannot really move the fuel bar to the right anymore as it’s already maxed out.

During the race strategy program I usually do my own style of driving, which is quite aggressive.
Do you have any idea on how I should do the race strategy program in order to not have an under fueled car at the beginning of the race.

just wanted to point out that the whole issue is that the car is under fueled, and at the same time the fuel load is at maximum so I cannot increase the fuel load (sorry if Im repeating it a lot).

Sorry, I missed the bit about being on full load already.

Then you probably need to change your style and lift and coast more, to save fuel. The best practice for that is F2 where you have fixed load.

I would still advise to complete Race Strategy programmes so you can see your expected and estimated fuel usage.

My nephew has a similar problem, especially in F2. He drives aggressively and uses too much fuel per lap.

Usual recommendation is to lift on straights before you start to brake for corner. It varies from track to track but I usually lift at 150m mark, if possible, sometimes even before that. It also helps to slow car down before stepping on brake pedal so you don't have to brake too hard and could carry more speed into a corner.

If you use racing line, then lift when it's still green. try to find yourself a reference point on track (e.g. banner, tree, LED board) and test lift and see how you do with fuel usage.

In Hungary, I usually lift about 200m before T1. It's uphill so it helps to slow car down into corner. Some coasting can also be done in T5 and then T9-T11. And then lift before T12.

If you want specific track info, let me know and I can send you my reference points for lifting on those tracks.

I don't use any assist apart from auto gearbox so I don't know how it translates to other assists.
