I would like rain tires or intermediates when it rains. I don't want soft medium or hard tires. I can pit 10 times in the career but I only ever get soft medium or hard tires in the rain. I've been stuck in Australia in the single player career for ages. Please, please just give me the rain tires or intermediates. I've installed all the updates. What else do I have to do?

When you pit, do you just enter the pit lane letting the game decide what tires to put on your car? If so, before pitting (or also while entering the pit lane, but if you get too close to your garage it becomes locked, so I suggest doing it on track) go to the pit strategy page of the MFD (it should be the second page) and select the tyre you want at the pit stop. There you should always be able to see all tires (dry and wet) regardless of the weather, so you can choose freely what you want at the pit stop.
Unfortunately If you make the game decide it will (probably) put you on slicks all the time or suggest to go back to slicks if you go on wets (in career mode it happened to me in a full wet race: made everyone start on slicks, then when I put wets it kept telling me to go back to the pits to change tires. Of course you just have to ignore it in this case, even though it shouldn't happen).
About the tyre pressures: on this game you have to raise the pressure to have lower temperatures. High pressure gives colder tires and low pressure gives hotter tires.
