Slow Pitstops

Far too many slow pitstops from all drivers - AI and myself. Most pit stops take between 3 and 7 seconds. Very unrealistic. I really wonder how all these bugs were not noticed during development. ...

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that this issue will be fixed with the upcoming 1.6 patch on Monday. Pitcrews in Driver Career have received some training so pitstop times have generally been improved. 🙂

@Banlii Are you continually finishing in higher positions than your car is in the rankings? If you are. It’s likely to be a script to slow you down. Game doesn’t like players doing better than they should.. it’s a weird frustrating mechanic. But better you do the more the game tries to nerf you

I am like mid season 2 now with all top teams being hit by regulation change after season 1, my car is in a cluster with mercedes, mclaren and aston with red bull being the only standout by a small margin. I have set the difficulty in a way that I am outperforming the other teams close to me in the performance chart and fighting with the bulls.

If that is really a way of the game to sort of nerf you if you are outperforming your car thats just ridiculous imo.

  Well if this is the case, then it needs looking at and adjusting. Realistically most pit stops these days are problem free, with the odd slow one occasionally.
  Clearly hasn't been tested properly again. To have a slow pit stop now and then is acceptable. But to have it pretty much constantly or every other is not acceptable.
  Please resolve this.

@Banlii Other ways the game does it is change in weather at worst possible times for you but not the Ai. Wasn’t a problem last year as weather hardly changed. But then you have mechanical failures. DRS wing would get stuck is a common one. Or Ai will get a buff. It’s all designed to draw out a 10 season career. As most people will have maxed out the worst car and won championship by season 3. They won’t admit to it obviously. But on the F1 22 boards theres a thread where a lot of us hardcore single players shared out experiences. Was pretty conclusive.

  ok will watch out for any inconveniences that feel like have been particularly introduced to harm the player and try to being attention to it in the forum
  or is there already a thread for this for f1 24?

    I think it's a bug! I'm having slow pitstops in every race!
    I paused my race right now to search if anyone have this problem, gladly there is!
