A Few Gameplay Suggestions to Improve the Experience
Hi all,
sorry for the long read but I Just wanted to share some feedback and a few suggestions that I think would really improve the overall gameplay experience. To start on a positive note — this year’s game is a big step up from F1 24. I actually find myself wanting to play it, whereas I gave up on 24 after just a couple of weeks.
That said, here are three areas that I think could impove the game:
1. Ranked Play – 25% Distance & No Auto-Reset
This is a big one for me. Ranked races need to be 25% distance, or at the very least give us the option. The current 5-lap format just doesn’t offer enough depth or strategy, and feels a bit pointless. Ranked used to be my go-to mode, but now I don’t bother with it.
Then there is auto-reset to track, this shouldn't be allowed in ranked in my opinion. It’s supposed to be the competitive mode where skill matters. Right now, it just gets abused and takes away from the challenge.
2. Switching to Reverse Mechanic (auto gears)
If you're using auto gears, going into reverse should require a second press of the brake after releasing it. Right now, if you spin out and try to hold the brakes to stop the car, it often throws you straight into reverse — which can launch you back onto the track or into a wall, making the situation worse.
A small tweak to this mechanic would go a long way in helping players fully stop the car and recover safely from spins.
3. Show Tyre Wear for Used Tyres
A small but important one: please show the wear percentage for used tyres on the MFD. At the moment, you can’t see the condition of any previously used sets, which makes strategic calls (like during late safety cars or unplanned pit stops) much harder than they need to be.
Would love to hear others’ thoughts — and hopefully the devs are keeping an eye on feedback like this. The game’s on the right track, and little improvements like these could make a big difference!
Cheers! And again if you've made it this far sorry for the long post.
