Am I the only one obsessed with this stuff?

So, I don’t know why I want this stuff, maybe so the pit lane feels more realistic I don’t know but I would like to see if anybody else would like to see this stuff in the F1 games as well. I would personally really enjoy having the ability to drive myself through the pit lane, I for some reason love when games have this feature like Le Mans Ultimate or iracing and the fact that they will let you drive yourself in and out of the garage, I feel it would make the pit lane more realistic especially giving you the challenge of having to learn to stop on your marks perfectly and drive off. Even if you could turn off the automated driving through the pit lane in settings and allow you to drive yourself, I personally would love that. Another pit lane related thing I would love to see is when you are in free practice or qualifying you can chose to just stop in the pit box for a quick and easy adjustment such as tire change or wing adjustment instead of having to sit there waiting for the crew to bring your car in just so you can take a couple seconds to change tires. I don’t actually know if that is allowed in real life but I do recall drivers having done that before and it’s something I’d enjoy.

Is anybody else here with me with this stuff or am I just that one guy with some pit lane kinks lol.

I can't see them ever letting us drive ourselves through the pit lane. Kids would just try to mow down mechanics and smash into other cars. It wouldn't be a good look for F1 and would probably cause more chaos that it's worth. Unlike the active race track, the pit lane is a more regulated and restricted area of the circuit, and the way they currently ask the player to press a prompt to enter and leave the pit box is probably about as much input as they can allow!

Quick pit stops in Practice and Qualy is an absolute MUST for F1 27, though! It is a bit tedious having to be wheeled in and out of the garage between runs, and if you are under 3 minutes remaining, and you've not got fresh tyres, it's pretty much session over when it really shouldn't be!

A quick pitstop in training and qualifying - yes.👍 Even as part of a training program. That would be new.

Manual pitstop - yes. 👍 As an option to choose from. I've been writing about this for years. The last such semi-manual was in F1 2010.

As for pitlane incidents, there is a simple solution - DSQ. If someone intentionally crashed other vehicles and rammed mechanics, it would be DSQ. And that's it! Simple workaround. 😁
