Dear ElectronicArts
I’ve got a list of things that I think would seriously improve the next F1 game and make it rival the games released before 2020.
- Vettel, Räikkönen and Goatify as an ICON driver – This should be a must. Their career and impact justify his inclusion more than many who are already in.
- Bring back the old My Team career structure – The version where you’re both the team boss and a driver. It gave real depth and identity.
- Smarter AI with better racecraft – They need to fight properly, defend, attack, and adapt.
- Fix AI behavior in practice and qualifying – They shouldn’t stop next to you when you’re on a slow lap.
- Expanded customization – More freedom with liveries, team outfits, overalls, helmets, and even character faces.
- Driver Academies in My Team – Similar to FIFA youth academies. Train young talent and bring them into your team.
- Better commentary – The lines are too repetitive and lose their impact fast.
- A true simulator option – Handling closer to iRacing, LMU, or Assetto Corsa for those who want a real challenge.
- Switchable driving modes – Let players swap between arcade and simulator handling.
- More AI mistakes and varied lines – They shouldn’t stick to the same perfect trajectory every lap.
I don’t care about microtransactions or the game’s price tag. Just make a game that justifies the two-plus-year development cycle and doesn’t flop. Players want something worth sticking with.
