Thank you all for your reports and the information you've shared.

We've identified the issue, and a fix will be included in the next patch. This was a retail-only problem, meaning it couldn't be reproduced in our test or development environments. As a result, it took longer to diagnose and debug.

Your messages were incredibly helpful in allowing us to understand the issue. Thank you again for your support.

As it requires more thorough testing, we're holding off until the next patch to ensure everything is stable and not rushed.

    We really appreciate your patience!

This is something that should have been repaired in an emergency patch and not postponed until the next real patch.

  • I totally agree with Sugandhalaya.

how come its still not fixed , this is ridicules

  • Hi EA_cuervo, I just realized there is a big bug in Time Trial, maybe started with patch 1.13 (but not sure), I explain the problem.

After patch 1.13 had been release, I noticed my bestlap in Zandvoort (1:08.722) previously in top 10 Playstation was going to be improved by a lot of people. I decided to test the track and in a few attempts I was already faster, until I got down to .357 (3-4 tenths faster!!!). Like if there was more grip, but I didn't understand at that time.

Until today. I'm currently struggling to keep the pace of the best players in Interlagos, especially in sector 2 where I need much more load (WR wings are 29-14, mine are 33-25!) but still wasn't understanding until I read this on X (link):

This got me thinking, I went to check the compounds expected for each track that I saved at the game release and I found the differences below, which I don't know if they are specifically related to patch 1.13 or modified from time to time but the point is, each time you change (I guess) the soft compound for the track you change the performance in Time Trial too!!!

Here is what I have found:

    - Canada, Silverstone, Zandvoort and Baku are faster (I can directly confirm it's the case of Zandvoort, and by checking the dates of laptimes also Canada and the others have a lot of recent laptimes at the top!).

    - Spa, Austin and Mexico should be (fortunately) safe from the bug, they changed the hardest compound only which should not affect Time Trial.

    - Interlagos is slower. Simple as that.

So the problem is the track-compound change affects the performance in Time Trial and you get absolutely unfair leaderboards, there is no way today to attack the lap in Interlagos, while who set the lap early in the 4 green tracks simply were not competitive with today laptimes.

I think you should be very careful about from now on, by setting up Time Trial tyres at the game release that are NOT linked to any subsequent changes on compounds (GP mode etc.).

Besides as a workaround for the current situation, it would be greatly appreciated if you add a field to the leaderboard showing the compound used for the laptime (like you show the 'team' chosen for the Season in FanZone).

Don't know if it's the right place to put the post, I can create a new topic in the bug section if necessary.
EDIT: added here updated tyre compounds --> Time Trial *BUG*

Thank you for reading and to take the problem into consideration :-)

Hopefully its fixed soon as I want to continue on with my Driver Career (currently halfway through third season). Until then, I've decided to shelve F1-25 until the Wheel (PS5) issue is fixed.

In other news, the perfectly performing AI in wet conditions, while we (humans) struggle, is still not sorted, ...and in nearly three (3) seasons (40+ races) of Driver Career I can count on one (1) hand how many times I've experienced the Safety Car 😒
