Third times the charm, this time about regulation changes in career mode, so far they have been pretty stale in my view, sure there can be few switch ups but nothing substantial or actually making the car feel different. More depth regulation changes have been suggested for years now in quite some depth. Like adding the option to end up with worse performance than in practice 1 of season one. Giving the option to make a dominant team fall far down the order (Red Bull or McLaren lately). I know there are difficulties with AI training for downforce but tyre grip, weight and drag arent a big problem for the AI so if you would give each car some headroom like 4-5 (maybe even 8-10 for best effects) upgrades that they already have as their base performance (make the upgrades simple 0.01 drag/0.2% tyre grip/2-3 kg steps so its easy to align these with the final car performance in the whole game) so if one team wouldnt put any effort into researching the reg change (or get unlucky as i think there should be a luck based system if the reg change research is successful or not depending on how much you put into it) and end up like 5-10 kph slower on the straights, maybe 2% down on grip and 20kg overweight, making them dead slow while requiring minimum extra AI training. Would such a system be feasible for you or do you prefer the current system and why?
