F1 27 Suggestion Megathread

Hi EA SPORTS / Codemasters team,

I have a feature idea for a future F1 game that I think would add a huge amount of authenticity, variety and immersion.

It would be amazing if every real-life F1 driver had a selection of around 10 different helmet designs that they have actually used in real Formula 1 races.

As we know, F1 drivers often have completely different helmet designs throughout a season. They use special designs for Monaco, Miami, Las Vegas, their home Grand Prix, tributes, anniversaries and many other occasions.

Instead of only having the driver’s standard helmet, I would love to see something like:

Max Verstappen → 10 official helmet designs
Charles Leclerc → 10 official helmet designs
Lando Norris → 10 official helmet designs
Lewis Hamilton → 10 official helmet designs
…and so on for every driver on the grid.

And the most important part:

These should NOT be locked behind challenges or progression.

I don’t think players should have to complete challenges just to unlock two or three special helmets for selected drivers.

All of the helmet designs should be available from the beginning of the game.

The same system could be used for race suits.

Every driver could have around 5–10 different official race suits that they have actually worn, including special designs for certain Grands Prix, anniversaries, tributes or other special occasions.

And I would absolutely love to see the same thing for the cars:

Official Special Liveries

Every team could have a selection of their real special liveries from the season.

For example, if a team uses a special livery for Miami, Las Vegas, Monaco or another Grand Prix, that livery could simply be available in the car selection from the beginning.

This would allow us to recreate complete special race weekends:

Official Special Livery + Official Special Helmet + Official Race Suit

For example, if a driver used a special helmet and race suit at Las Vegas while their team also had a special livery, players could recreate that exact combination in-game.

I think this would be much more exciting than having to unlock a small number of cosmetic items through challenges.

These aren’t fictional cosmetics — they are real pieces of Formula 1 history that already exist.

Having around 10 helmets per driver, several official race suits and the season’s real special liveries available from day one would make the game feel much closer to the real sport and would give players a reason to revisit different races and recreate memorable moments.

It could also become an amazing feature that gets expanded every season.

Every new F1 season = a new collection of official helmets, race suits and special liveries.

As a Formula 1 fan, I would absolutely love to see something like this in a future F1 game.
