I understand the desire to drive as yourself but I do prefer the idea that in My Team you are the manager and in Career you are yourself. In the future they might be able to do some sort of create your icon for My Team but there would be some work around ratings and salary for it to work.
I do find it odd that not all the F2 drivers are not clamouring to sign with you in season 1 but after that you do have your pick and you could sim a 10 race season to get there if you wanted to. I switch drivers every race and focus on the Constructor Title but everyone is different and the more options the game has the bigger the audience appeal.
