Friends arnt Showing on Friends List

Hi, im trying to play with a friend on ps5 and im on pc, weve both got crossplay enabled. hes on my ea friends list as we play fc25 together but my f1 friends list is completely blank and when he invites me to a game nothing comes up at all.  i cant read him either as the player search function doesn't work.  

Please Help, Its driving me insane.
