Issues with weather reports and info in wet races

I've just been in a race where rain started halfway through the race in Austria. About 5 mins before the rain started I asked for a weather report and was told no information available. This happened multiple times and this only stopped after pitting for inters.

Then towards the end of the race without asking for an update the engineer said rain was easing up, only for a lap later to be told to box for full wets as it was raining so much.

I also noticed this in another race in Australia. I think this is an issue that needs to be looked into.
