Multiplayer Cars - Car select

I take part in a league where we use Multiplayer cars. 

There is one glaring ommission that Codemasters have never input into the game and I do not know why. 

Why is there no setting/indication as to who your teammate is? You just have to play roulette with the gods when it comes to pitting or qualifying. 

Please can you/they implement the car select into lobby settings like you do when using authentic cars. So you can choose your team mate. It doesn't seem to be a hard fix but its never been in the game since they added multiplayer liveries.
