F1® 25 - v1.06 - Vehicle/AI Changes Feedback

I’ve just hopped on for a couple of quick races and it certainly does seem better. I’ve only tried it in the dry though but up Eau Rouge and to the end of the Kemmel Straight I’m keeping up and getting runs on the AI. Straight line speed is much higher too, I’ve blitzed a lot of my previous TT lap times. One thing I have noticed is the car seems a lot more stable through the bus stop chicane? Not sure if this is due to the change in friction on the ride height?

Edit: tested this further and the back straight of China, Japan and Miami are still horrendous. AI get perfect traction and I’ve got absolutely no hope of holding with ERS

Can we make it so the safety car comes out when required please?

Having a broken down AI car sitting on the side of the track lap after lap without  a safety car does not promote safety.

I am very disappointed with the modification because the performance of the car has improved as well as the point speed. The chassis of the car seems to be higher and the sausages are basically just visual. The question is why don't they try to bring the sausages back to f1 23 levels? The car was bottoming out and wasting time, now everything is so flat. I've been struggling with this since beta and no response EA_Groguet​ CM_TGK​ 

Invitation event broken. i am 600 the ki 400. you can no longer keep up. ki has become much too fast. yesterday no problems, now nothing works anymore. Players don't want to play the event anymore because you're only driving behind. Sorry, but I find that ridiculous. If you drive in front of the AI, it throws you off the track completely. It was already bad before, but this is the bottom of the barrel.

I'd like to see the developers drive a few events with controllers, I don't think you'll survive a single lap and if you do, you'll be at the end of the field. do a stream and show off your skills. I would love to see that.

The invitational events and AI solo races in F1 World with the F1 World car has been broken for a while now, sadly. Theres a few threads in the bug forum with the same problem. Ive been 1000 tech level for weeks, and cant even overtake the AI unless a player slows the AI down significantly, and if I race normal, the AI is 2-5 seconds quicker PER LAP in Invitationals (300-1000 tech events). I think once you go over 550-600 tech level on the car, you get heavily nerfed when racing Invitationals. This isnt a v1.06 patch problem though, its been around since about 15th of June 2025. 

As for the patch v1.06, I did find that the player car top speed in Grand Prix races (only tested that so far) is much more on par with the AI, even at 110 AI level. So this patch definitely has done something right. Yet to try wet conditions and I dont race automatic, so cannot comment on those.

Can't say I've noticed much difference in AI straight line speed if I'm being honest. Silverstone for example they still rocket up behind you after this patch even when I have DRS and ERS, might be circuit specific but at Silverstone the AI are overpowered.

The changes made to wet racing have shown some improvements. Probably just because the short shifting has been fixed which has gone some way to mitigate the massive advantage the AI has in the wet and STILL HAS!

Also with the tyre wear being ridiculously high on a pad compared to a wheel once the rears start to deg (after 6 laps at Spa) the AI start to swarm you with their superior traction.

The player car in the wet is still diabolical with regards to rear traction. Even on a pad with full TC and various diff settings and soft rear suspension the traction is awful. The AI still pull away constantly.

I personally think more work is required here. One step to improve things would be to fix the stupidly high tyre wear on a pad, at least then you can fight the AI more evenly.

I once rode a GP in the rain and it's not really any better. Your own vehicle is extremely slowed down by the rain. The car floats and has far too little grip at the front compared to the AI, so you can't really corner well. As a result, you lose too much time compared to the AI, which always gets the corners perfectly. It's not just the tires, but rather the differential that howls like a wolf all the time. I can't stand the howling any more. If the differential doesn't work properly, even the best tires are useless. But this has already been mentioned in beta 1, 2 and beta 3. I wonder why this is still a problem in the rain. How much time do you need to fix a problem like this? If we include beta 1, 2 and 3, it's now about 4-5 months. The rain problem has been known since day one, just like other problems like speed on the straight and accelerating out of the curve of the AI. It must all be a science without equal.

Nothing has changed.

AI is still overpowered on the straight. It's crazy.

AI has more traction. No dirty air. More ERS power when "overtaking" is active.

If you press the overtaking button at the same time, the AI ​​pulls away.

For me it’s better, at My Team I can keep up with the AI. Before the patch I played on 85 difficulty and couldn’t keep up with the AI’s straight line speed. After the patch I play in 95 and now I can race against their speed.

4.  Changes are clearly not working. On my 6th season of two player career so we've found the ai level that works for us but now the ai was 1 second per lap faster in the dry and even more in the wet. Unplayable.
