Slipstream in Current F1 Games Doesn’t Work Properly
The dirty air effect in the current game feels far too strong compared to the slipstream effect.
Not only is the slipstream too weak overall, but it also does not seem to scale naturally with distance. In real life, the closer you get to the car ahead, the stronger the tow becomes. In the game, that sensation is almost nonexistent.
For example, in wet conditions where DRS is disabled, even when chasing a car down a long straight while using overtake mode, the slipstream effect is barely noticeable.
The same issue appears in DRS trains.
For example, in a three-car train, if I am closely following the car ahead while that car is around 0.9 seconds behind the lead car, I should naturally keep gaining on the car in front thanks to the combined slipstream effect. However, that barely happens in the game.
Once you get stuck in these situations during online racing, the immersion drops significantly and the racing starts to feel unnatural.
Please consider improving the slipstream and dirty air balance for the F1 26 DLC.
