Suggestions for improving VSC behavior and front wing endplate damage management

Hello EA F1 Team,

I’d like to share a couple of improvement suggestions for F1 25.
These are not major gameplay overhauls, but rather logical adjustments that could make the experience much more consistent and realistic.

  • End of Virtual Safety Car phase

When the Virtual Safety Car (VSC) period is about to end, players only receive the message “VSC ending,” and the delta becomes unstable sometimes.
If you happen to be in a corner at that exact moment, it’s very easy to get a drive-through penalty because the delta suddenly spikes or becomes unstable.

Suggestion:
Please consider adding a countdown (for example, 3… 2… 1…) before the VSC ends.
This would allow all drivers to clearly anticipate when the green flag will be shown and avoid unfair penalties.

Alternative idea:
Introduce an optional VSC speed limiter feature.
This would allow players to activate a button that keeps their car below the maximum speed allowed by the game during the VSC phase and until the green flag appears.

  1. Players who don’t use the limiter could react faster when the green flag comes out, but they would also risk exceeding the delta and receiving a Drive Through penalty.
  2. Players who do use the limiter would stay perfectly safe and avoid any penalties, but they would naturally restart a bit more slowly.

This option would give everyone control over their own level of risk and realism while keeping the racing fair for all.

  • Pit stop behavior when only the front wing endplate is damaged

When a player damages only the front wing endplate, the game allows them to pit,  but if the front wing replacement setting is on AUTO, the team often does not replace the front wing.
This can completely ruin a race, as driving without a front wing endplate is a major disadvantage on most tracks.

Suggestion:
Please adjust the pit stop logic so that even partial front wing damage (like an endplate) can trigger a replacement when performance is significantly affected.

Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback.
These small but important tweaks could greatly improve both realism and player satisfaction during races.

Jey
