I tried both in my career and in the Grand Prix mode, the AI has a too strong corner exit compared to ours, in my opinion the real problem is the traction, nothing else.
@EA_rephii After the 1.08 patch Mick Schumacher switched teams ( Haas to Williams ) in my My Team mode but he's not wearing a helmet. Please fix it.
how difficult are fix the tyre allocation problem? even on 100% races you can only select 1 hard tyre and 1 medium tyre, that´s completely broken, and makes impossible do real strategys like 2 mediums and 1 hard, or 1 soft and 2 mediums and etc
- @EA_rephii Auto gearbox needs fixing urgently
- WonderTomee3 years agoSeasoned Rookie@samoluca14 I have no idea why is it that difficult to lower their Traction control. Didn't they post they're looking for the issue to be solved for like..1,5 weeks?
That the AI is more optimized in corner exits than corner entry / during corner, doesn't sound like a bug to me, but more like balance issue, which is not that different from past games where AI was also like that (especially in lower AI settings)
It's a bug if it's clearly way too fast compared what player can be. If the top guys can now be able to beat max AI in all modes with similar level car, I'm convinced there is not a bug anymore and it's more up to me raise my game or take a humble pill and lower the AI and adjust to having the AI slow entering and during corner.
If those AI corner exists feel still too fast compared to you, it could be also that it's harder to get good traction in this game than before (but possible as we can see from eSport players and the like), your setup is not great, dirty air actually has now effect, which can make it harder to follow the AI car super close when it matter etc. (or FFB doesn't give you good enough signals to drive on the limit).
Oh and it's been confirmed that AI is actually faster in this game compared to 2021, so I hope people stop expecting that.I just also tried MyTeam (Championship Contender car) and did two 25% races: It definitely has improved, they do not gain speed as quickly out of corners, meaning they do not get the insane traction they used to get. Still not perfect but a step in the right direction for me/my settings at least.
@EA_rephiithe practice programmes are now far too difficult again

Dear EA, or Codemasters, or whoever reads this,
Now, about this one, I could've put this one into Bug Reports, but since it's multiple things I want to touch, I'm putting them here.
First things first, about the AI... Unfortunately, the problems with them have hardly improved. While I recently took Pole Position in Monaco on Level 71 in the 4th best car, during the race itself, it hardly felt like the AI are slower in any way, and I did not touch the slider. I just don't get why you just use the AI from F1 2020, since those weren't so ridiculously overpowered, and I was able to play with no problems, but ever since F1 2021, it went downhill insanely fast with the AI. See, I don't want to dominate races in a car which is nowhere near a championship vehicle, but I also don't want to feel worthless because I can't make a move on someone unless I divebomb them and damage my car. This is not "creeping up the difficulty" like Codies tend to say, this is turning the whole franchise into a game for solely Esports players, and that's not fun.
Aside from that, I have found more issues that need to be taken a look at:
The first problem, which I had no idea about until now, you guys promised an Adaptive AI feature, which I never found until I watched a video telling me that the Adaptive AI is in the Casual Race Style. Now, I know I'm not a beginner anymore, but I sure would've liked to see what it does, because I hoped that it would be like this: "Win races, the AI improve - score no points, the AI become slower." So if it's possible, please put the feature into the Standard and Expert race styles too, because I felt like this was the main reason why I bought the game in the first place. And as of right now, the only way to have fun with the game is to play online, showing once again that this game is not user-friendly.- The second thing that I recently found, and I honestly can't believe you have done that... The effects of front wing damage are far too powerful. And do you know how awful this is? In Monaco, you just scratch the front wing, and it feels like no front wing at all. This has been the exact same thing in F1 2021 and people were also all over the place regarding this topic, and you just go ahead and ruin everything like you did last year. The damage model was perfect the way it was, because it allows for a bit more mishaps while still being able to keep up, and it made sense, because if you watched the IRL race in Silverstone, Leclerc lost the endplate, but still had stellar pace. That is a horrible, horrible programming error, and this needs to be reverted as soon as possible.
- And then the last error with the game, which also persisted from last year, the stupid quip about Aston Martin moving up in the Constructors Championship, even though they scored zero points, or did score points but don't move up the table. Heck, the commentator even says that when no single team moves up in the standings! That's insane, it makes zero sense! It almost seems like you guys expect the player to play Driver Career with Aston Martin and win every single race so they keep moving up the table.
In my honest opinion, F1 22 is still far from being a good F1 game. I even saw a video which claims that you guys at EA deliberately crash the franchise (no offense intended), and to be honest, the way the last game was, and the way this game develops, it almost feels like it. You don't think about the long term F1 fans who enjoyed all the Codemasters F1 games up to 2020... The way F1 22 feels is like you told Codemasters: "Guys, F1 2021 was so great, please continue just like that."
If anyone important reads this... I don't know what to say. I'm just saying the franchise was basically at its climax with F1 2020, and now, it completely turned for the worse, and it makes me cry just to think about it... 😭
I'm sorry if I was too extreme with my thoughts, but honestly, back when Codies did their magic until 2020, everyone enjoyed playing F1 games. And now, it feels like we went back in time...
See, I love F1 games, but I also criticize them as much as I love them. And this alone goes to show what kind of a passion I have for the sport in real life, and for the games, and I'm very certain that I'm not the only one here that feels the same.
They say that hope dies last, sure, and I still hope for the best, but honestly, I'm just about to give up and wait for next year.
I hope you guys understand my different perspective. If yes, then thank you for doing so.

I don't want to be unfair (and annoying) and complain about the patch even before actually testing it (which I'm gonna be able to do only tomorrow - wednesday, august 10th, 2022), BUT..
In the patch notes it says:
"After this patch, please anticipate an average decrease in Career difficulty by five."
So I have to ask.. 'five' what, exactly? Percent?
Because if so, this may not be enough..I mean.. I was trying to play the game with AIs at 100% - which is what I was able to do on F1 2021 and the other previous games - and it was not easy, but still I could have pretty tight races against the AIs and even win most of them (sometimes even starting from the back), but it was obviously impossible to do that on F1 22..
So I lowered the AIs to 90% (before the patch) and still was not enough.. then I decided to try 75% and.. now I can at least compete, but still can NOT win races on My Team, even having the best car (beginning of season 3) with a pretty good gap to the 2nd best team (currently Ferrari)..
Conclusion:Reducing the AIs overall performance by only 5 (percent?) should NOT be enough and although it may sound exaggerated, the ideal would be something around 25-30% to be honest, so..
Not to mention the problems with the AIs are NOT only their top speed and/or acceleration after slow corners.. they do a LOT of unfair and unrealistic things like:
- super acceleration out of ALL types of corners..
- super top speed on the straights..
- super acceleration (and grip) when trying to overtake the players (they literally 'jump' on you, out of the blue)..
- super and perfect race starts, always..
- their tyres doesn't degrade as much as the plasyer's (or doesn't degrade at all) and they usually get their fastest laps at the end of each stint, where their tyres should be dead in terms of grip (which is what happens to the players), so at the last laps of each stint, the AIs usually gain up to 1-2 secs per lap on the players..
- they can easily get their tyres to the ideal temp after their pit stops, while the player struggle a lot to do the same (especially on Hards)..
- they are also about 1-2 secs faster than their own normal pace (during FP sessions) on the Quali sessions - something the player can NOT do..
- they crash into the players when trying to overtake (or defend) - sometimes literally drive ignoring the player, as if our car wasn't even there..
- not sure about the amount of fuel they carry, but they seem to be always lighter (less fuel) than the player and/or can manage their fuel usage a lot more easily than the player..
Anyway.. as I said, I still need to test the patch - I'm sure it IS an improvement and a step in the right direction and I'm glad and thankful for that.
I'll post a proper feedback a few days after testing the patch more properly as well.
