Hi allFinally made a start with my first career on F1 ‘22. So also the first time I ever encountered Medium and Hard tyres. As you can imagine, bit of a shock going around Bahrain. 😱 No front grip entering corners, no rear exiting. Once I adjusted braking points, slightly better. But overall I feel like a snail going round the track. So my question, what is roughly the expected pace drop-off compared to Softs? A second per compound? Two? Obviously longer tracks more than shorter ones.Also, what tweaks (parc fermé rules are on) do you guys make to your setup? More front wing? Amend brake bias at all?cheers, P

@Meza994 thank you - some really useful info there It sounds like my carcass temps are probably bang in the window, but maybe I’m having issues with surface. Will track using a telemetry app and see🖖🏽

@peter75pc if you start a Qualifying session (e.g. in GP mode) and switch the tyres the game itself tell you which is the expected difference in laptime. Track by track.Personally I’m closer than “the game” between (S) and (M) maybe because I run with full tyre temps and the (S) have to be managed for inner overheating.It’s useful feature anyway

@ScarDuck14 Yeah haha for me its always the other way around, lower the pressure for the race so the carcass doesnt overheat😂

@Meza994 If I played against humans I’d keep carcass on. But don’t see the point when racing the Ai as they don’t. Not going to unnecessarily handicap myself.

@ScarDuck14 Fully understandable buddy! They gotta make the AI be affected by surface temps and have realistic carcass temps behaviour in F1 23..

@peter75pc Depends mostly on driving style but if are a racer on top %2, I would say 0.8seconds between compounds is normal.

On bahrain, hards don't work so much, so the difference may increase. But it obviously changes from track to track. On a track with less high speed corners and more straight lines, the difference may be smaller.

Qualifying I run min temps.. for race 2 clicks up on front and 4 up on rear

@Meza994 Temps. So can push harder in qualifying. As wear isn’t an issue.

Race wear is an issue so increased pressures.

@ScarDuck14 The question rather is are you going over 100° in qualifying over that one lap? If not you can bump up the pressures for extra "grip" (its not grip but causes more stability with lower rolling resistance ingame)
