Career Mode Crash PS4 / Error code (CE-34878-0)

Unfortunately, that is a very generic error code. 

Just in case you may not have tried this yet....

Boot in Safe Mode and choose Option 5 (possibly 6) Rebuild Database.

I am having this same issue

Ever since the new upgrade.


I thought the issue was I had too many players in my squad So I had to keep loaning out my youth players, and it allowed me to have another season but now in my 3rd year anytime a player is sold or I select squad hub it crashes. 

Please can you please work with me to make this work as it makes no sense why this is happening and I read this happens with a lot of your games. 

Question did your game have a created player as I am noticing that my game did and that player has now disappeared

This seems to be your action for everything. Dos not solve the issue 

Would be good if you look at the trouble shoot was working before but think the issue is with the created player.

Can you let me know how a rebuild of a database would solve that if the game is removing the created player and crashing not the PS4 

PS4 here and the same problem when starting the first season! I didnt have it before but after the last update this occurred. For me after the error code is suggested that I should update the application or the system but they both are with latets updates. I hate this, career mode is the only reason for me to play this game!

Found a area that if you remove the created player to reserves just before you submit a new season it should work

No i found the solution

For PS4 users, this glitch only happens when you have a custom made player signed to your team at the time!

You have to either sell/release them in order to be able to play the next season, then you can resign them etc. But i think you'll have to sell/release them EVERY season!

Kinda stupid and i hope EA fix this (probably for old gen), but yeah you can still play career mode just you cant with custom generated players!

I have a situation where the Game crashes during the last match in champions league and i have a created player and the questions is whether i need to delete him so that i can finish season
