Agreed. But recalling FIFA22 Qatar, Denmark just needed to beat Australia in the final game. And they were abysmal and weren't close to do that. Awful performances in the desert. So whilst dreaming of a group win, Denmark REALLY need to do their business themselves first. And Serbia do have several gifted players in their squad...

Interesting twist there. Not accomplishing the cup objective often seems to have this effect on the manager rating. So I can't say I'm too surprised that your job is on the line at this point. But I like the idea of taking it as an opportunity to jump into unknown waters and continue somewhere else. I would probably be inclined to start over and be able to "control" the choice of club, whom to sign from the start and so on. But I like this other approach.
Finish the season or leave early? Well, I wouldn't mind looking at the available jobs, if it was me. And if something interesting came up, I would probably have a hard time letting it slip, because you never know what will come at you later on. But again, that's also just me wanting to control things. It could also be interesting to go the full mile and just accept what is left of opportunities.

Perhaps it's the thrill of finally playing a good game again (abysmal World Cup, abysmal Euros qualifier), but I'm starting to dream of the group win now. We need to beat Serbia, of course. And that is in no way a certainty. But England beating Slovenia isn't a certainty either, they were actually pretty good against both Denmark and Serbia. And the way England played in both their games, they can't be that lucky one more time, can they?
I still count Denmark as a 'fragile' team though, hence the defensive mistake from Victor Kristiansen. So obviously we can still end up bottling it against Serbia ourselves...

Well, not quite. I may be biased (I almost certainly am), but Denmark's midfield three absolutely dominated the game IMO. Højbjerg, Hjulmand and Eriksen took control of the game, and Jude Bellingham was awful. Bukayo Saka was England's best player and gave the defence some troubles, and Phil Foden did the same, when he came in centrally and challenged from Bellingham's position.
So England scored once, after a huge mistake from our young left back, and Foden hit the post. But apart from that it was a very dominant performance from Denmark. Just didn't have the last bit of quality to create big enough chances for a second goal.

Good shout mate! Very well predicted.
I was a bit disappointed with the performance in the first game vs Slovenia, but this performance was brilliant IMO, and Denmark dominated the midfield completely. Unfortunately we lacked a bit of sharpness in both ends, giving away an easy goal and failing to produce big enough chances ourselves.
Final group game will be interesting. Serbia won't be easy, all games in this group have been tight so far. But Denmark should advance with a draw and will certainly advance with a win. And despite needing a good result to advance, there's already a lot of speculation about avoiding the group's 2nd place.
1st place: If Denmark win and end of 5 points, we could win the group, if Slovenia win or get a draw vs England. Depending on the goal difference. In that case we would play the 3rd place from group D, E or F.
2nd place: If Denmark end in second place, Germany almost certainly awaits. And I believe that will be the end for us.
3rd place: A 3rd consecutive draw could see us advance in third place, if Slovenia beat England and results in other groups favour us. Then we would play the winner from group E or F. These two groups are possibly the tightest and least predictable, so anything could happen, if we are matched with these teams. I would much rather prefer that in stead of Germany.
But first: We have to get that result vs Serbia ourselves. Based on the performance vs England, I also think we'll pull this through. We need to be sharper in both ends though.
You were right with England and Denmark. I would have gone 1-0 England.
I think Spain win 2-0. I'm recording that one to watch tonight but I was listening to the Denmark game at work. From the parts I was hearing, it sounded like an even match.
