Player won’t renew contract

Got a few players on my career mode who put in a transfer request as they were unhappy about their playing time. I have since put them back in the team their status is “very happy” however I can’t renew their contract or remove them from the transfer list. 

I also get messages from the player saying he wants more money but I literally cannot do anything. I don’t want to release them as another club resigns them for free. 

please can you fix this EA.
